Founder and director Nick Shah is one of the world's leading risk and investigation managers with over 30 years of international experience. As a member of the UK's Anti-Kidnap and Extortion Unit, he was directly involved in the operational and strategic management of investigations in the UK and overseas. He has advised on UK Government CoBRA committees. He is also the author of numerous international strategic publications, including the United Nations Manual of Guidance in Kidnap and Extortion.

He founded the SJ Group to provide high-quality security, negotiation and crisis management expertise. Our team includes some most experienced military, police and private sector experts, collected by Nick throughout his 30-year career.
SJ Group has completed numerous international deployments to respond to kidnaps and extortion threats, sometimes in hostile environments. We have previously represented the UK Government and intergovernmental agencies such as the EU and UN at international forums.
